Frank Grillo cooks up 2 new roles

GrilloAs buzz keeps growing for "Warrior," Frank Grillo -- who plays Joel Edgerton's trainer within the September release from Lionsgate -- is establishing his next set of photos.Grillo is placed to experience a gangster in WB's ensemble crime epic "The Gangster Squad" along with a key supporting role within the indie cop drama "Finish of Watch," starring Mike Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena."The Gangster Squad" already stars Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin and Emma Stone, with Will Beal penning the script and Ruben Fleischer pointing. Film is dependant on the La Times' seven-part series "Tales In the Gangster Squad," which chronicled the LAPD's efforts to maintain New England mobsters from La within the nineteen forties.Grillo will have Ragan, a Chicago gangster who works the Continental Wire Service."Finish of Watch" follows the longtime partnership of two LAPD officials, performed by Gyllenhaal and Pena. Grillo would play tough commanding officer to whom they answer. Pic is going to be written and directed by David Ayer with Anna Kendrick, Natalie Martinez and America Ferrera also starring.Grillo is visible next in "Warrior," that has already received positive response from early tests, including finally week's Comic-Disadvantage. He also lately finished production on "Lay the favourite,Inch starring Rebecca Hall and Bruce Willis, in addition to "The Gray," directed by Joe Carnahan.Grillo is repped by CAA and Management 360.
